10 Movies You Need to Watch on Apple TV Plus

Monday, 3 October 2022, October 03, 2022 WIB Last Updated 2022-10-04T02:04:04Z

Apple TV

The movie selection on Apple TV Plus isn't as extensive as that on Netflix or other streaming competitors. Even so, it stars A-list actors like Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, and Bill Murray and has even gained Oscar honors and nominations for The Tragedy of Macbeth and CODA.

Here are a few of the Apple TV Plus titles that are certainly must-see movies.

The good news is that you probably already have free access to the streaming service if you recently purchased an Apple gadget. Here is a list of some of the year's top motion pictures.

Beastie Boys Story (2020)

Beastie Boys Story (Apple TV)

"Beastie Boys Story" tells a charming and touching story about how they did it. Spike Jonze, a long-time associate of the Beastie Boys, helmed the live event at Brooklyn's Kings Theater last year and takes over the reins in this basic recorded version gathered from various performances.

Survivor Beastie Boys members Michael "Mike D" Diamond and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz provide a chapter-by-chapter story of their remarkable climb from dopey aspiring punk rockers to Hollywood-fueled meltdowns, and how various errors helped them arrive at new creative inspiration. Much of the film is a lighthearted nostalgia trip, which at two hours is a tall order, but "Beastie Boys Story" is also inspired with a powerful sense of purpose:

On The Rocks (2020)

Sofia Coppola Reunites with Bill Murray for a Fizzy Comedy (Apple TV)

The comedy-drama On the Rocks is a 2020 American production that Sofia Coppola both wrote and directed. It centers on a father and daughter (Bill Murray and Rashida Jones) who have doubts about the loyalty of her husband (Marlon Wayans). On October 23, 2020, Apple TV+ began streaming it online. Critics gave it favorable reviews, noting that it was lighter than Coppola's earlier movies and praising Murray's performance. On October 26, 2021, Lionsgate Home Entertainment released the movie on Blu-ray and DVD.
